Gormanston 2017
The 2017 Annual Beekeeping Summer Course will take place at the Franciscan College, Gormanston, Co Meath from Sunday 30th of July to Friday 4th of August 2017. This will be the 71st Summer Course organised by the Federation of Irish Beekeepers’ Associations.

The Beekeeping Course which has taken place at Gormanston since 1961 is internationally renowned attracting beekeepers from all parts of the world. The range of lectures and workshops are of the highest standard. The course has universal appeal both for the beginner and the advanced enthusiast covering a wide programme in the practical and scientific areas including workshops, hive demonstrations, examinations and the National Honey Show.

The Beginners level is ideal for the novice who is interested in learning the craft of beekeeping. A person who undertakes the full beginner’s level will be well capable of managing his own hives following the course.

Following on from the success of the 2016 Summer Course, the 2017 Course will be even bigger and better with plenty of new events for 2017!

We are delighted to welcome as our guest speaker will be Dr. Ralph Büchler, from the Bee Institute, Kirchhain, Germany
