Code of Practice for Small-scale Beekeepers in Scotland
Some beekeepers will be aware of This Code of Practice which was developed and published some years ago by the SBA. For the benefit of any beekeeper still in possession of a copy, you should be aware that the code is out of date, as new legislation came in on the 1st Jan 2006 which repealed the 1995 Regulations under which the code was produced.
According to the FSA [most] beekeepers will not have to meet the requirements of the new regulations, so any new Code of Practice will take account of this. Once there is greater clarity of how the new regulations are to be enforced, the SBA will develop a new version of the Code of Practice.
