Welcome to the Scottish Beekeepers Association

The Scottish Beekeepers Association is the national body that represents Scotland's beekeepers within the UK, throughout Europe and globally. It is a registered charity, and is run entirely by volunteers drawn from its membership.

Recent Additions to the Web Site

A gallery section of beekeeping photographs is being developed for the web site. Use the link on the right, or the Gallery link in the Main Menu, to view the photographs. And please send me some more photographs!

Scottish Executive Ten Year Strategy on Bee Health. The consultation has now ended, and the SBA has submitted its formal response to the consultation. You can read the full response by clicking here. The response has also been added to the Downloads section, under the heading SBA Reports.

Dunblane local Association Beginners' Classes

The Dunblane and Stirling Beekeepers' Association will be running classes for beginners starting on February 3rd 2009 for 7 weeks. Please click here to read full details on the events page.

The CONBA Chairman's Report on CONBA Meeting 2008 is available. Please go to the the downloads section, or use the quick link on the right.

The Manual for Local Association Secretaries has been revised. All Secretaries should receive 'hard' copy of the changed pages, but the new version is also available for download. Please go to the downloads section, or use the link on the right to reach the Local Association Contacts page, from where you can also download the whole manual or its chapters.

Back number of 'The Scottish Beekeeper' April and May 2008 magazine are now available to download. Please go to the Downloads section, under the heading .'Scottish Beekeeper Back Numbers'.
