Annual membership of the Association currently costs £30. Family membership for each additional family member living under the same roof is £5.00. For overseas members, please contact the membership Convener for up-to-date details, as these rates are liable to change at short notice to reflect changes in UK postal rates.
New Members
If you are applying for your first membership of the SBA, please send a cheque or other form of payment with your application to the Membership Convener. Please download a copy of the membership application form using the Quick Links above. Please do not use a Direct Debit when applying for first membership.
Membership Renewal
For membership renewals, Direct Debit is the preferred method, and is available for all renewals on or after 1 Jaunary 2013. You can download a printable copy of the Direct Debit mandate using the quick links section at the top right of the page.
The Association encourages as many of its members as possible to pay by Direct Debit, which is now being introduced with effect from the beginning of 2013. The Direct Debit system has a number of advantages to the Association and our members. If you download the mandate, please print it, fill in and sign it by hand and then post the original to the address shown on the form.
Please note that once the Direct Debit system has been introduced in 2013, it can only be used for automatic renewals on January 1st each year. If you have failed to renew your membership by Direct Debit on January 1, please send a cheque or other form of payment to the Membership Convener. You may then fill in a mandate for renewal the following and subsequent years on 1 January by DIrect Debit.
You can download the SBA brochure using the quick links section at the top right of the page. This can be printed out and distributed to Local Association members or any prospective SBA members. Please address all enquiries regarding membership to the membership convener. You will find contact details for the Membership Convener on the Executive page in the 'About' section of the main menu.
The membership convener is responsible for maintaining the records of membership, both for payment of subscriptions and for providing a mailing list for the distribution of the association's monthly magazine, 'The Scottish Beekeeper'.
